Every interpretation remains visibly separate from factual metadata. Objects link back to their holding records, and uncertain dates or attributions are marked as such.
Scope
“The West” is not treated as a single, stable voice. The archive preserves differences between countries, institutions, media, periods, and political positions.
Images and rights
Historical media must have a traceable source and a recorded rights status. Generated imagery may guide interface design, but it will never appear as historical evidence.
